ABOUT ME

Portrait artist Bonnie Mercadante has been taking pictures since she was a young child. She has always loved the emotion in a photograph; the way it expresses the relationships between people. These portraits become priceless keepsakes, to be passed down through the generations.

 

With two daughters, a wonderful husband, and two lively grandchildren, Bonnie knows and understands the joys of family, and this comes across in her personality and her art. Described by friends and clients alike as warm, vivacious, and attentive, Bonnie is able to quickly make her subjects comfortable. Portrait sessions are relaxed, stress-free, and fun – essential for creating images that capture the essence of your personality and your relationship. She will take the time to find out what you are looking for in a photograph. “It’s important to me to create images that please my client even if that may be different than my own perception of a good image.  Photographs are very personal.”

Bonnie is continually working to improve her art through workshops, classes, and seminars. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and the Channel Islands Professional Photographers Association. She had the honor pf being selected Business Person of the Year in 2016 by the Port Huneneme Chamber of Commerce.
